All TF fans must definitely head on over to the webiste of Ben Procter, the Lead Robot Illustrator for Transformers the Movie. Ben is a well established concept artist working on some major hollywood movies, but nothing comes even close to his outstanding work on the movie designs for TF. You can even get a glimpse of early concept art of optimus that has never before been seen. Its amazing to see just how close to G1 they actually wanted him to look initially. Check it out:

Must be interesting, when I tried to go there it was saying the bandwidth has been exceeded. I will have to try again later.

Hmmm....... I see. Actually after I saw the movie, I've been thinking about all of the transformers with their movie designs, just with the G1 colors. Such as the Target exclusive G1 Jazz and Starscream. I think that would make the film better.

I've seen that Gundam Like Optimus before in more than one color actually.

I still think they are a wee bit to vulnerable looking for my taste though.

It was interesting that he said that "Aaron Archer" was responsible for the look of Movie Optimus.

Make me all the more keen to see the DVD extras now.
