Transformers Movie Score, Now Available

A friendly reminder, (because no kidding I'm as excited for the CD as I am for the DVD!)  the Transformers original movie score is now available in stores.  Also as our official site request, don't be like computer super-hacker Glenn Whitmann and swipe a copy off the 'net!  Let this be one CD you buy!  Supporting the artists (and companies) responsible for the creation of these beautiful compositions is the right thing to do!

I just recieved my copy which I bought off of Amazon. I am listening the first track (I just put it in the drive) right now... this is the some of the most amazing instrumental I have ever heard... can't wait to here the arrival theme.

Seriously... even at just the first song.. this is amazing. Go and buy this score people, it is worth it.

Mostly stills from the movie surrounding credits to the orchestra on the inside booklet (human stills that is, not bad though), plus a song list which is also on the case. You've probably seen the front case artwork, same as the one disc DVD. The back side has a dark view of the city with a menacing full body Megatron. On the CD is a blue overshadowed Optimus from the Bonecrusher fight scene (before he tackles him).

I must ask an ignorant question, is the album only avalable online?

I doubt it, you should be able to find it in stores.

Online may be your best bet. I've checked all the major stores here where I live in Colorado for the past few days and NONE of them have it in stock. Some of them WON'T be getting it in stock. *insert bummed sigh here* I'm going to give it about another week. After that, I'll be getting my own copy online. To everyone else out there; good hunting.

Since you guys got it before me, is it better than anything John Williams could've come up with?

I don't know if I can say Steve did better than John Williams, of who I am a big fan. However I'd say on par to some of John's music.

Also completely unavailable in Los Angeles! I've looked high and low, and I'm trying to special order it through Borders. Its funny because they've been listing it as in stock at this one store every since the "release date", but won't admit to actually having it! They tease! And I looked for it in the San Francisco area when I was up there last weekend, and still no dice. I had to settle for listening to a low quality version at B&N (which also showed as something that had to be special ordered). I'm this close to ordering it online... Trying not to give in to the evil that is amazon. Oh well. What I won't do for another soundtrack.

Don't make me choose between John Williams and anyone else! I love them all. I'm such a sucker.
