My ultra-wishful-thinking self, would LOVE to see Jazz back in the sequel. But I didn't believe that wierdo news blub that the voice actor had signed on to the sequel film... I'm not believin' that until I see it.

Anyway, I don't want to think of my favorite G1 character as "dead" per se. How about we consider him as, being in a permanent state of repairs throughout the sequels? :P

MAYBE he'll comeback a le Hector Barbossa... At the end of the second film... And throughout the entire 3rd... If there is a trilogy... o.O

I'd personally get a kick out of if there was a repaint of Jazz in the sequals that was renamed either Meister or Ricochet like the original Jazz was.

As I said before, I like what Bay said about Jazz not returning, cuz if he was, Hasbro would likely make another Jazz toy and I don't want to have to buy another one (I got the regular and Final Battle, period). Also, this might not be fact since awhil;e back, Bay said he would mislead fans by leeking false info to them. I hope this isn't false, though.

aw man!! i actually was looking forward to Bay reviving Jazz! if Hasbro did come out with a mold that was completly different from the other one i would get it, but if it was jus a repaint i wouldnt. i already have the G1 repaint of him and im not plannin on buying any other repaints

I might get booed here, but to me, this is both good and bad news.
Obviously, it's bad since the character wouln't be coming back. But I really wasn't impressed with the movie version of Jazz anyway. Well, design was good, but I think they got his personality wrong. Jazz in the cartoons was one of my favorites too. It's just here, they seemed to try too hard to make Jazz "cool". They needed to tone him down a bit, but give him more screen time to develop his personality (ideally, many characters would have gotten more screen time, but then the movie would be way longer). Plus, I think his voice was too deep.
So I wouln't miss what I (IMHO) consider a poor portrayal of the character, but I'm sad he's gone. That is, if Sabrblades' suggestion that this is false information is not true.

Than why did they say theey would bring him back. By the way the thing said that he came back but Hasbro just wanted to make more Transformers.

I´ve just read the lilformers comic. Lol :).I think Spock is right: it makes no sense to listen or read something that is possibly a hoax and Michael Bay warned us about the nature of any leaked material or comment in the next months.
However... it´s a clichéd but fun option the one Phoenix proposes, maybe turning the character into a sort of Punch/ Counterpunch persona that has to learn to control the decepticon self in order to help the other Autobots! two robot modes and all :)

Well they could have developed his charcter a bit more in the first film instead of giving him like 3 lines. Disappointing it was....hmmmphh.
