Grimlock... is so... shiny...

It's not fair that Takara makes these look more show-accurate and we get stuck with the ones who look little like their G1 selfs. I'll bet they'll even make a Dirge with the the rightly-molded wings and a Thrust with correctly-positioned wings.

Why are they so much better looking and classic looking than the US classics?! Why!? Why must Hasbro be so half fast?!

Are the encores coming to the U.S.! ( Encores would TOTALY replace the TF classics any time!)

Tyscream, Big Bad Toy Store will carry the Encore items. They won't be in retail stores. I think they will get the Japanese Classics as well.

Action HQ should have the Classics, they are a Japanese site that ships to the States. www.action-hq.com I have the minibots, Omega Supreme, and Skylynx all on preorder and I can't wait. It will be interesting what the future Encore series items will be.

I bought Encore Ironhide, it's definitely a toy that the kids today would really hate. If anyone remembers the Energon days, Towline is a great homage to G1 Ironhide and Ratchet.

As far as the Japanese classics go, I would like to get a hold of Megatron, Starscream and Grimlock for sure. I know there will be new Classics coming soon. I hope Onslaught will be a combiner like he should be along with the rest of the Combaticons. I have a gut feeling that he won't. I think it would be great if they made a Classics Unicron, and not using that horrible Armada mold.

As far a s the Encore series goes, I hope they reissue the Dinobots, all 6 insecticons, the Autobot triple changers, and some combiners, Devastator for sure. And my two G1 favorites, Cyclonus and Scourge.

I honestly think the japanese classics look like total crap,all they did was remove paint apps and put chrome in places where it shouldn't be.
If you chrome a part,chrome all other parts of that color,takara. Sjeesj,you'd expect them to get it right for just ONE time in those 24 years.

the encore series wont be released in the us due to toy safety regulations in the usa, if they ever are they will be slightly different, e.g jazz the takara version has the original g1 launcher and missiles but hasbro has gigantic missiles and longer launcher, same with optimus and ultra magnus (shorter smoke stacks, longer missiles), and skywarp/thundercracker (longer thicker machine guns). us toy safety regulations change parts that are small and considered dangerous. sucks huh, japan dont really care lol
