Botcon Ricochet, New Legends out in UK.

It got mentioned in a discussion on the 28th but I think it's worth another mention that the Botcon attendee exclusive toy of Ricochet is now shown on the Botcon website.

It has colors that look like a joint homage to the TV show Starsky & Hutch and the Stunticon Dead End and is derived from the Cybertron Crosswise mold that Botcon Jazz uses sporting a new head design also shared by Botcon Jazz.

Personally I think he looks a lot like G2 Snarl.

Also a little tippet of UK News Supermarket Sainsbury's now has single carded series 9 Legends figure with wave consisting of Bonecrusher, Cliffjumper, Autobot Jazz, and Recon Barricade.

With Jazz being a slightly different color from the previous release - it's more of a light grey than silver with teal colored windows.

I can't state enough how adorable Legends Bonecrusher is though - I'd say he's got to be one of the best legends toys made so far.

Well, this figure pushed me over the fence, in the fact that I am getting rid of my set. Only Prime and Goldbug was worth it.

I've seen him, and I don't know what to say except for,"good work botcon, but I would recomend you come up with a good backstory for these guys otherwise there won't be any reason to collect, well, unless if you're a completist or something(not I)"

I ALSO got Drop Kick - He came from Argos - it's the first time I've seen him - the figures after him were more I'm impressed that when his deck cover is removed he still has all the bed detail underneath - very cool.

I'm surprised that they didn't repaint Jazz the way they did to create the original Stepper/Ricochet. What puzzles me is why they named him Ricochet when it was already taken by G1 Quickmix's Targetmaster partner.

Doesn't matter. There were two Sky Highs and two Barrages during the eighties. Once Beast Wars hit, name reuses from older characters were extremely common place, a trend that continues to this very day (to keep hold of the names). I would have preferred they named G1 Ricochet "Hot Shot" and had him as the G1 equivalent of the RiD Hot Shot (who looks very similar).

Today, I will be going to Sainsburys to see whats in there. I made the mistake of going to Tescos on Sunday thinking the Legends toys would be there. I'm gonna pass on Jazz.

I do have to say there is a couple glicthes in the game but you have to admit that the detail on G1 Star Scream's Decepticon logo on his wing's are great!!!!!
