Personally, I think Bomburst and Submarauder cameos for the win! And I think I need to make it official now. I'm pretty sure that Bulkhead is my favorite character. I probably relate more the Bumblebee, but I'm just so down with Bulkhead.

Honestly, I think it's just his character potrayal. The VA is doing an amazing job performing him. I especially liked the way he said "Because they're mean, dumb, and we never should have helped them escape!" He's just such a passionate character that I can't help but especially enjoy when he steps forward in the episodes.

I havent seen it yet but i totally agree with you.

Would have preferred a direct continuation to last weeks episode focusing on Starscream.

I think my least favorite part of the episode today was that the Dinobots kinda pussed out to Meltdown.

I think they are getting around the triceratops being "incorrectly" named Snarl (there's been several triceratops in Transformers who haven't been named Slag, Snarl here is no different to those others) by not naming him in the show.

technically so far only grimlock has been identified. the other dinobots who are "swoop" and "snarl/slag" could be anyone in the tf universe, or totally new characters. they dont have names in the cartoons or voices.

Meltdown's back and leading the Dinobots! YES!

Beast Wars reference: the sub Fanzone was in reminds me of the one Rattrap was in. YES!

Pretenders/Masterforce reference: the mutated shark and bat humans strikingly resemble Bomb-burst/Blood and Submarauder/Gilmer. YES!

And all three Dinobot transformed! YES! But only Grimlock spoke. Oh, well. Snarl and Grimlock have the same fire swords and Swoop has a fire flail! Oh, yeah!!!

Although I didn't think the other Dinobots' robot modes woud show up in this episode. That was a surprise for me.

What's also a surprise to me is this. A few minutes ago, I'm was watching Just Jordan. Its Jordan's 16th birthday, he get his driver's license, and his grandpa gives him a car for his birthday. And the car looks just likes Bumblebee's first body's vehicle mode from the movie.

All three Dinobots are totally new characters. Actually, everyone in the show is unrelated to their G1 namesakes. Anyway, the Dinobots here were created by Megatron and given life by the Allspark. They were never the Dynobots on Cybertron, never created by Wheeljack and never sent out to battle Shockwave in the Savage Land four million years ago.

Um, quickfire, about Ratchet being the same as G1 Ratchet, did you see "Thrill of the Hunt"? Cuz, that explained some of his past. In that episode, we saw him during the war and he was the same grumpy old guy he is today. His personality is nothing like G1 Ratchet. Besides, G1 Ratchet was killed in the 80s G1 movie, which means his G1 self could not grow into the cranky rust-bucket of Animated.

As for Ultra Magnus, his G1 counterpart was murdered in Headmasters. And this Ultra Magnus from Animated has no confidence in Prime, which is unlike his G1 self.

Quikefire, that's not the same Optimus. He's younger, and this takes place after a Great War. All the characters in this series are fresh new characters living in their own universe that is separated from all the others. Just like how the guys fromt the RiD universe, Unicron Trilogy universe, and movie unverse are all different bots than those of the G1/Beast Era universe.

For once Sabrblade is right Rachet and Ultra Magnus are nothing like there G1 selves. Infact there are times when not even Optimus is like his G1 one self, like his recklessness his inexperience and dropping out of the academy, all things the old Primes would never even think of doing. To add even more Prowl and Bumblebee aren't like there G1 counter parts either. G1 Bumblebee was an optimist always lookin for the bright side of a dark situation when this one just makes jokes about how he and everyones else is gonna die. Prowl was always a team player and just like any true autobot putting him self before others Animated prowl has more of an emo-loner attitude going on. I think the Autobots that are the most closely related to there G1 blue Prints are the Dinobots. They're dumb, clumsy, big, too powerful for their own good and very misunderstood.

Anyone else hear Captain Fanzone say Prowl's name when speaking to him after the battle? Great voice work that showed even greater character developement. Three words fellow TransFans: LOVE. THIS. SHOW.

Coool its on youtube now. i like most the skilled ones so thats prowl and he was awesome. i always thought about a scene he could use his wheels in robot mode and now he does > FREAKING OUT. he did what i wanted him to do. so coooooool.

Excellent points Sabrblade! NOW I remember why that submarine Fanzone was in looked so familiar! But I didn't think Ratchet seemed crabby in the flashback scenes on Thrill of the Hunt. I still think of him as G1 ratchet, same as Ultra Magnus (does = G1). His lack of confidence in *this* Optimus Prime is no indication of him not being G1... It's clearly not G1 Optimus Prime. But it's all fine, some can see this as a completely "different universe." But not me! You know me and my desire to tie continuities together. This show is set a couple hundred years in the future, why not.

I didn't like the return of Meltdown. I hope he is gone for good. I just can't get myself to like the human villans. Save that kind of stuff for the Teen Titans to take care of. This is Transformers. I like the return of the Dinobots.

There is a season two. The first season ends with "Megatron Rising, Part Two". All the episodes post that one are season two. At the moment, the writers haven't decided whether or not they should do another season.

Umm, I haven't seen Ultra Magnus in Animated. Maybe I missed a episode, since people keep mentioning an Animated Ultra Magnus. I may be totally wrong, but are people maybe confusing him with that character Sentinal from 'Along Came a Spider'?

Yes ZhaneX you did miss an episode or 2. Ultra Magnus appeared in the Animated premiere movie, and in Thrill of the Hunt, giving orders to Ratchet on Cybertron.

It is a new start for transformers. It's a story that's set a couple hundred years in the future and therefore is "its own universe" That doesn't mean it DOES NOT tie together w/ previouis continuities. Hey, I still say: G1 Ratchet and G1 Ultra Magnus (rebuilt and reborn after that Japanese Headmasters episode), G1 Grimlock (reborn through the Allspark) and a new Optimus Prime! Its a new chapter in the same old continuity. That's my opinion. Everyone else is fully entitled to look at it however they like! :)

I´m happy for my fav character ultra magnus,leadership was promised to him 22 years ago.

I really hope Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Prime get toys. Nothing has been shown or even announced yet that they will but I suppose they do need to have new animated toys to sell next year too.
