May his soul rest in peace, the late great TFMaster, the ultimate TF kitbasher... used to give me a hard time because he mailed me (like literally) ~250 photographs of his work... and it took me forever to get them added! (and thus, "Transtopia" http://www.tfmaster.com/ was born!)

Those pix along with several hundred other toy alt pictures had me completely overwhelmed. There were SO many pix. So much awesomeness! Back then there was no easy way to get photos added. No easy way to organize, sort, post comments... everything I always wanted that Alterations section to be... FINALLY we can provide the forum we've always dreamed of! Hurrah!

Alright all you "alterations guru's" or "customizers" or "kitbashers" or whatever you call yourselves! Let's see what you've got!!!!

It's been a lot of work. I've been looking forward to this unveiling for quite a while. I finally got ALL the finishing touches on it today. Now, it will be a pleasure to keep our Alterations section updated frequently.

I got the sneak peek too, but I didn't notice my kitbash then. I saw it on there this time, though. Great job Jason, but you know that means more work. Looks like it'll be easier for you than the old method. Let me go get my camera!

Ok, guys. so now we have a fully up-and-running kitbash section. Now what about a fanfic section? This site doesn't have one yet, right? Cuz I just finished my first fic today over at the Seibertron.com forums, but I doubt anyone's gonna read it (or the ones following it).

well I think they have worked their butts off for the past couple of months trying to get this thing going. so as of now, I would suggest that they kick back and enjoy their accomplished work.

I'm all for a fanfic section, but just add it to the list.

I can't believe how amazing those new kitbashes look. Absolutely amazing work everybody! I wanted to comment on some, but they really are just all so amazing that I'd have to comment them all. So I hope you guys don't mind when I simply say great work everybody.

While I'm not a kitbasher myself, I've got one in mind that would be fairly simple. I really want somebody to make a fullsize Leo Prime figure off of a Nemesis/Leobreaker figure. The hardest part would be that he needs a Prime head replacement, but I'm fairly certain that if somebody took the Energon Optimus Prime figure's head it would swap in perfectly. You'd just need to connect the fur/hair from Leobreaker to the back of Prime's head after that. Maybe somebody could bash that for me and post it? I'd really like to see one!

its strange wen i look at some of these kitbashes bcuz ive seen most of them already. i did used to go to tfmaster.com, then i heard he died. Very sad. ive seen others of these kitbashes at actionfigurecustoms.com- check it out!! that frenzy.rumble guy sold that awesome-looking magnus for something like $200-300.

I may be mistaken, but I think that frenzy.rumble's Ultramagnus actually went for something in the 600's!

TriPredRavage, feel free to compliment everyone here. There's nothing wrong with that. On that note though, I have just changed how commenting for the alterations blog works. Now it's a little easier to comment now; you can make a quick anonymous comment if you don't want to bother with logging in.

Fanfic section? hmmm... I will say this: having put the time into building the framework of utilizing some of blogger's functionality for unicron.com, it will be easier to now apply that base to future projects. There will be more upgrading and perhaps even new sections to come.

Is there a limit to the number of images per kitbash gallery?

No, not really. Just try to keep things reasonable. ie. a couple, I dunno, does maybe less than 5-6 images per toy alt sound good?

No. Most of my customs have 20 or more pics per model. Some as many as 60 pics for the scratch-builds.

Tramp, ive seen ur work before on TFmaster's site i believe, or if not there somewhere else- ur names familiar to me. ur kitbashes are really good!

That's me. I have some new ones which don't have galleries up yet including my new Elita-1 and Firestar. What galleries I have on TFArchive are cut to shreds with most of the important pics cut out, particularly orthographic shots and such, so i am definately looking for a place to show all of my galleries in their complete form; uncut, untrimmed, unedited.

Yea i noticed tfarchive doesnt have the best pictures. Do u keep in touch with other kitbashers? i dont know any of them personally but im sure people would love to see kitbashers like JAF and Devastator on unicron.com!

I haven't really heard from them since Transtopia merged with Seibertron. As far as galleries go. My new Elita-1 has 41 pics for a gallery,while Firestar has 35 pics. Among those currently on TF Archive but not on Transtopia, their complete galleries (not edited) are: Alpha Trion- 62 pics, Ultra Magnus- 65 pics, Moonracer V2- 35 pics. The galleries I do have on Transtopia run the gamut from small galleries to large ones.

I sent some of my Gallery submissions in but can't send the rest until the email is emptied. How long until they get posted?
