YES!! Jetfire, I was hoping on him. Amazing I imagined a possible Jetfire design using a body similar to an SR-71, how ironic that became his alt mode for the movie.

What I wonder is, SR-71s don't fly anymore (sadly) so how will they pull that one off I wonder. Also since the SR-71 is notable for being passive stealth and as such black, will Jetfire sport an unfamiliar color scheme (wouldn't be new considering color schemes for characters in the first movie actually) or will he be the traditional red and white. One thing is for sure, whichever it is, they're probably be toys in both colors.

Let's all remember that Bay likes to use false names in the script to keep things secret. SR-71 Jet sounds more like Silver-Bolt to me than Jetfire. The twins sounds cool, and I look for a double-agent to be involved somewhere in the script.

That is true, Bay did say he'd be leaking fake script info as well as the real so we wouldn't know what is true.

Actually Silverbolt was a concord passenger jet by the looks. I don't think any Transformers have been an SR-71, at least in the cartoons, don't know about comics as much.

the headmaster horrorcon Snapdragon transformed into something similar to the SR-71, and one of the components of Overlord (the megajet) was possibly that kind of plane. I guess these characters are too obscure for the movie though,and classics 2.0 silverbolt might be a hint.

Classics Silverbolt transforms into something akin of the XB-70 Valkyrie which was only and experimental plane. I couldn't find the jet forms of the other two Slashwing mentioned though so I can't say.

Well, they mentioned the SR-71 had a decepticon symbol on it, and the air craft's primary funciton was a spy plane, so it very well could be Soundwave. As for the go-cart seen on set, one of Michael Bay's big camera tricks is a mobile camera that he has drive in front of the rolling action, and it rides on a go-cart. That could be nothing more then movie equipment. My big question is...and ice cream truck? The transforming soda machine from the first was cool (and I'm still ticked they didn't do a toy out of it), but an ice cream truck? Please let that be the false info leaked.

Well if Jetfire is the SR-71 and it has Deception symbols there could be more than meets the eye there (yes, I went there). Jetfire in most continuities hasn't always been strictly Autobot or didn't always start out as one. I am going to speculate if Jetfire's SR-71 alt mode is there with decepticon symbols, perhaps he is undercover or a double agent.

Of course this is all fan speculation, I'm not going to say I really think it will happen that way.
