I didn't know Grimlock's arms slid in that far. I'm gonna have to try that mod.

Guys, are the Animated figures THAT bad?

I don't think it's so much that the figures are "that bad", Ty, as much as it's that we've waited, and Waited, and WAITED for these figures to be released, and then they happened to come out imprefect. Which, don't get me wrong, it's kinda rediculous considering that they were all on display at ToyFair four months ago. I get the feeling that after this initial wave of sales, the figures are going to stop getting heckled so much and the complaints are going to subside.

And I must be a lucky one, because even though I had that initial scare with my Grimlock, my arms can already slide that much with relative ease. Hurray for me.

By the way, does anybody know when the new wave of Robot Heroes featuring the Beast Wars characters are due out? I wanna pick 'em up, but I haven't seen them yet...

And out of all my figs, Prowl is the only one with an unexpected flaw: a spot of yellow paint on his face.

Any other flaws were expected and are on all figures of the toys' particular characters.

my lockdown has one eye covered in black paint.otherwise flawless.

I just fixed the stinger problem and hands problem on my BB and Lockdown figures. I don't know what I'll do about the yellow spot on Prowl's face.

my soundwave figs arms always pop off. its getting annoying

Sabr, a REALLY out of the way thing you could do is always bring the figure to Home Depot or Wal-Mart or a Hardware shop and get them to match the paing of Prowl's face and then just paint over the spot. Like I said, it's really out of the way, but it could solve the problem. It's just completely inconvienient.

I hear ya ,TPR. I really don't want to go to all that trouble just for the yellow spot. I might as well just wait for the second Prowl release with the sidecar and MAYBE swap heads.

Speaking of which, does your Prowl look like it has the little places for the armor pieces, or does it look like the armored one'll be a new mold?

Okay, nothing on his lower arms for the wheel armor. Nothing but a ball joint hole slit on each of his shoulders for the shoulder armor. Nothing on his back "wing"-things for the thrusters. The helmet can just slide onto his head. Nothing but a ball joint hole slit on each of his thighs for the leg armor.

Well, I guess Prowl'll be remolded for the side car/armored figure.
