Transformers Alternity

As reported back in june, the Transformers Alternity toyline will feature the licenced Nissan GT-R as a vehicle-mode for its Convoy (Optimus Prime) figure.

New Zealand-based Automobile site NZ Performance Car has an article running featuring the design of the robot-mode of the Alternity GT-R Convoy figure . According to the article, the figure will be on sale in Japan by Christmas time.

Past information also states that it will be available in two color schemes: Red (typical Prime/Convoy colors) and Silver (Nissan "hero" colors). The silver version will still be Convoy, not Megatron.

For those of you who do not know, the Alternity series is the sequel to the Binaltech (Alternators in the West) series. However, while the Binaltech/Alternators figures were in 1:24 inch scale with the real-life vehicles that they were based on, the Alternity figures seem to be in 1:32 inch scale, making them about the size of the Movie Deluxe figures.

Looks nice! Id get an alternator for (hopefully) the price and the size of a deluxe fig!

but the only thing i dont like is the fact that this guy looks to bayformer movie-like

So this is going to continue the Alternators/Binaltech line? I really need to read the Binaltech stories. Any idea where they are translated or anything, Sabr? And for that matter, any idea where we could read the Japanese Mangas translated? You always have the goods when it comes to the Japanese text media, so I figure if any of us knows where it can be read, it'd be you.

I'm surprised you haven't read them, TPR. I think you'd like its version of Ravage, he's like a hybrid between his G1 and Beast Wars self.

the pough website has translated up to the end of the alternaters story where the timius drive has been introduced and subsiquantly the beginning of the alternity with descovery of alternium.
wiki is the best source for the alternity story so far
