TFA Movie Intro

Posted by:
Perceptor at 2008-08-20 6:42 pm   (site update)

You can buy the Transformers Animated movie intro, "Transform and Roll Out" on DVD at various stores like Target, Walmart and Amazon.

As you wait for it to arrive, wet your whistle with our all new page(s) dedicated to this great work of fiction!  Think of it like a character page for episodes of Transformers!  parts 1, part 2 and part 3 are now linked in the left hand media column of the 2008 section.  Each has links at the top to our news, "Discussion Topics" where we (Lukis Bros.) wrote a review before it aired and the whole fandom's reaction on the day it first aired.  Like I said, it's a new way to organize images and make them handy for reference (such as character page production!) :)

More to come!

I agree, very nice pages. I also got the Transform and Roll Out DVD. I just need to start getting more Animated figures! All I have for now is the Cybertron mode Optimus Prime and Starscream.

Snagged this and watched it on Tuesday. Also picked up the S1 set from Target on Tuesday. So far I like it!

I snagged my DVD from Target, given how it had the extra episode, so this is old news.

Extra episode? What do you mean?
Perceptor said,  - 2008-08-21 22:31:33
I don't know about "extra episode" but the movie intro DVD has "special features" section with what they call "cartoon shorts." They're remarkably cool actually. Absolutely worth the price.

Thanks KW, glad you like. As discussed before, this whole gallery thing took a long time in the behind the scenes development. Now that the "hard" part is done, the updates shold be flowing w/ a greater degree of frequency.

Quasi-related, I was looking over my Animated Voyage Optimus Prime figure today and I noticed an anomoly. While neither shoulder has the Autobot insignia (as the left one does in the show), his right shoulder has a small square indent. Any idea why this square is present? It doesn't look like it could function as a gimmick of any kind, such as combination. It's really kinda strange.

I had something like that happen to me once, it was with my energon wideload from the constructicon maximus set. The hook on his arm wasn't present, but in return a small minicon shaped peg was. Weird, I dunno.

@TPR and Perceptor:
When Darkton said "extra episode", he meant the bonus episode that comes with the set as a Target exclusive. Target stores are selling this set with a bonus disk solely containing "Home Is Where the Spark Is".

@TriPredRavage:
I don't know about a square. I'll have to check to see if my Prime has that. I'll let you know in a little while. Oh, and the two Deluxe Primes have silver Autobot symbols on their left shoulders.

EDIT: Okay, i've checked my Prime and found what your were referring to, and the square seems to serve no purpose except to be a random detail in the molding. Although, in vehicle mold, it kinda looks like an unpainted window.

@Lord Megatron:
That would've been a production error. The crane is supposed to have a Mini-Con point on it to hold the Energon weapon. The hook, howevcer is supposed to be their too. It either broke off before it was packaged, or it was mistakenly never put on the figure when was made.
