Transformers Movie Sequel Robot modes

After images of "Stinger" showing up the other day SEE HERE there's now a few more rather tiny and indistinct images of Concepts for the Transformers sequel.
HERE also the Transformers Blog spot has some images taken at the Eastern State Penitentiary of some of the vehicle which show the detail of the wheels confirming their status as Autobots by their wheel hubs.

One of those new robot modes seems like it follows a similar pattern to Bumblebee another new one HERE seems rather similar to Barricade and is the supposed robot mode for the Audi R8 Decepticon character in the movie sequel.

Lastly on another matter. UK Tesco stores are having a sale on some of it's toys including Transformers items very from store to store but one bargin spotted is Movie Cinema Scene packs for just £4.00 each.

I know a lot of people want these sneak peaks, but honestly those pics are terrible.

Terrible is putting it kindly. Besides that, what is that blurry picture of Jazz supposed to prove? It looks like Jazz from the first movie. IF Jazz is coming back (and let me emphasize, I don't believe that he is) then MAYBE he's that silver concept corvette. But no way are they going to have that silver/black 'vette standing along side another silver and black Pontiac Solstice.

As shocked as I was that Jazz died, I would be more surprised if he came back in ROTF. Honestly, I don't know if I'd believe Jazz will be back even if there were pictures of the Pontiac on set. (and so far, there have been none.)

Moreover, I would be bummed if that Audi R8 was Barricade. Barricade back? Yeah, I certainly think so, but I hope he keeps his police car identity. That blurry piece o crap image doesn't lool like the R8 at all. It would need a lot more silver in it... We'll see. We'll see.

I think the person who provided them just had a reason to have a Jazz picture and supplied it.

But that said Jazz's car mode was seen on one of the sets (same day they were filming the fake chinese stuff) - though i suppose that could be for a flashback scene or as some sort of visual joke reference.

Or maybe they had some big wiggs doing a set visit and they just brought it down to show off - I never heard anyone was pointing a camera at it - it just seem to be there.

Bringing Jazz back would be a nice touch though - as it might be a good way of showing they undersetimated the power of the allspark.

I have sort of been wondering what they did with the body - did they bury it in the cemetary or something ?

I's not like they can carry his body around - And I can't really see optimus wanting them to dump it in the Ocean with Megatron.

But if megs can come back I can't see a good reason why Jazz can't other than one - and that's the blue sparks shown when he was torn in half - and blue sparks seem to infer a death. where as ones with no blue sparks -not (Brawl/Bonecrusher & Megatron had no obvious blue sparking just Orange)

>But if megs can come back I can't see a good reason why Jazz can't.

That's the best rationalization // explanation for why Jazz will be back as I've heard. It's possible dude.

But here's my logic: Hasbro and Bay will want Megatron to come back. That's all the reason they need. Why won't Jazz come back? (I believe) because Bay and the authors don't want him coming back.

Over and over in interviews when asked why have Jazz die, their reply was, "so people would know the stakes." or something like, "we want people watching to know that there are consequences." Bay also said, it was to stay with the, "no sacrifice, no victory" theme and thus someone >>> Jazz became the sacrifical lamb, so to speak.

If they brought Jazz back they would have to turn 180 degrees around their previous statements. If Jazz just got rebuilt in ROTF, the message it would send would exactly contradict the very point they were trying to make with the first film.

To the viewer it would say: 'this is not a real war w/ real consequences.' Anyone can get blown to bits, ripped in half, melted down to scrap metal and they can just keep coming back without any ramification.

It is for *this* reason that I do not believe Jazz is coming back.

Time will tell! Can you believe this film so supposedly going to open in 9 and a half months!

Hasbro and Paramount had the images removed, talk about ruining the fun. Spoilers don't faze me, we're all going to see it sooner or later. the suspense it what kills me. A good example of my patience was waiting for the animated toys to be released.

When pics were not true, they are always ignored, but when pics are removed by the movie company...they were true! Home Run!!! But the face of the Traxx, I hope that wasn't the real face!

I wonder if the third film will be the last of their films. I hope not! But if they do decide to end the movies with the third film thats ok. Hopefully it could be a remake of the G1 movie with some added tweaks here and there. hmmmmm.............(drifts off into deep thought)

Notice that the corvette robot's legs are a bit similar to Transtech Cheetor?

Somewhere I read that those head and body images of "Stinger" are fakes.

As for the others, I don't know.
Mighty Maximal said,  - 2008-09-10 16:37:15
Yes I noticed the legs are a bit like Transtech cheetors too -they also remind me a little of animated Bulkhead -the way he stands on his tracks as if they are sneekers - is sort of similar to how Stinger stands on his wheels.

Incidently that No victory without sacrifice line, and Sam being told he's a soldier now.. was a bit silly - it needed an extra line around that point to fill that conversation out - such as the team saying they will try to cover his back.

And they could have helped Mikaela with Bumblebee rather than just watch.

I notice that the writers have wrote themselves into a corner a bit by saying that each individual nano-cell of a transformer is alive - as it sort of makes their death impossible without decintiegration if that is the case.

They should have explained it better and mentioned more the crucial nature of their spark... as it seems the rupturing of his spark chamber is why Jazz is dead.

But I still can see any reason why the spark energy can't jump to a new machine and infect something else.

One more funny thought - I had an amusing postulation - did x-bot,Dispensor,Stockade and Barricade run off with Brawl's body or something as it seems to vanish when it's time to dispose of the bodies. same with Bonecrusher.

I agree that I found Jazz's return doubtful, and to be honest, I wouldn't want them to undo his death, both for it negating the "so sacrifice, no victory" theme of the first film, and also, I can't say I cared for the movie incarnation of this character (and this coming from a guy who considered cartoon Jazz to be among his favorite characters).
Perhaps Jazz's car mode being seen on set was meant as a clever ploy by Micheal Bay to steer our speculation in the wrong direction? It wouldn't did much into the budget much at all simply to have the car there...
I may be a little more in the dark about the rumors for this film than most of you, so forgive me, but didn't I hear that The Fallen (as the title indicates) is the same, or a similar character to the Dreamwave Fallen character from the War Within series? My point is, if they have this other villain (who should be amazingly powerful if he's anything like the comic version), should they even bother bringing Megatron back as a major villain this time out? I'm just not sure if it's neccesary to have two major evils in the film like that. I'm not saying they shouldn't bring Megatron back, maybe they'd make his return a side story and a set up for the third movie... maybe even allow his return to be caused by the Fallen...
KilledbyDeath said,  - 2008-09-10 20:55:53
Overhaul I like the idea as the set up for a 3rd movie, and I'd like to add if this is THE FALLEN how far away is Unicron? Could Unicron even be used or work in a live acion movie?
Overhaul said,  - 2008-09-11 15:14:08
Considering the complexity of the characters for the existing movie, the very idea of Unicron for a film is, well, mind boggling. I imagine sitting there in the theater when the world devastator shows up, and simply going into shock from the experience. Unicron will have to be huge, massive, and mind bogglingly complex to match the the rest of the characters... and then I'll probably have a stroke when he transforms...
But that, IMOHO, should wait until the final film. We've no lack of villains for the current in production film; possibility of The Fallen showing up, Megatron, even StarScream (he essentially was the acting Decepticon leader in the first film up until Megatron thawed out).
Another question: any idea how that fragment of the Allspark that Prime removed from Megatrons' chest might fit into events in the new movies? Maybe a means to resurrect Megatron? Maybe something having to do with the Matrix (or creation, thereof?)
