I won't take a political side here. This isn't really the place for that. But, what I will say about the comming election is that, it is nice to see so many people taking an interest in politics. (I've actually followed it for a few years now.)

There is only 1 peice of advice I have to offer to those who are just getting into it.

1: Don't "just vote". Make sure you actually do at least some checking to make sure of what your canidate belives, and what their policies are.

Anyway, how about this auction! LOVE the Phoenix news team actually doing a story about it...! Wow that's cool. I hope he gets his full asking price (assuming it's worth that much...) Truly amazing.

Oh how I want to win the lottery tonight. I know what purchase numbers 1,2,& 3 would be now. 1 the $67,000 dollar lot of tfs. 2 a plane ticket to get them. 3 a new mini-van to bring them home in. :) (yes I do drive and enjoy a mini-van)

Good FREAKIN' Grief, that's the first Transformers auction that's ever made the news! That guy is sooooo lucky! At least he's keeping his Dinobots. And that has got to be THE most expensive Transformers collection ever, might even make the Guiness Book of World Records.

Definitely not the most expensive collection ever. Before they sold it (a couple of Botcons ago), the Hartman Bros. collection included MISB of EVERY G1 Transformer ever released. Before Transformers popularity really became mainstream, they got involved with Hasbro insiders and scored toys of the EXTREMELY rare variety... Toys like the G2 Stunticons, of which less than 10 in package were ever produced...

Our collection? Is far less cool/comprehensive by ebay or those standards above. We used to try to collect "one of at least every toy" (loose) but then with every variation from the super slight (manufacturing change) to the major (such as 5+ re-colors of some molds, ie. the movie line...) Our efforts are now more half hearted. We have some MISB stuff, but we've been periodically trying to get rid of it to conserve space. We have a lot of very rare stuff such as owning most of the Victory, Masterforce and Japanese Headmasters stuff, but really nothing extrordinarily rare...

Your collection is still more impressive/valuable than mine. Not that we're comparing. :) I collect major mold varients of Prime/Megatron in "show" acurate colors. So, I don't have a black or other odd color Prime anywhere. There are a few that are fairly close. Like G1 & G2 Prime, I count the difference in the voice box/guns on the trailer as a major mold variation.

To be honest, I never liked the people who keep their Transformers forever in the box/package, I mean it's a toy for cryin' out loud! It's meant to be fiddled around with, see how it works and transforms, not to gather dust MISB and sell it later for ridiculous prices. I do have a couple in the package though, but have taken them out to put them back later ;-)

As much as I love Transformers and as cool as they are I can think of better things to do with $66,800.
