TFA Oil Slick

What can I say? I'm a big fan of the IDW Comics TF Animated, "Arrival" series (Keep'm comin' Marty!). If you haven't bought a copy of the latest issue, get on it! Big news day ahead, by the way. We have been informed that the Hasbro Transformers Team, intends to send replies to various questions which we had the opportunity to ask recently. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything!

Oil Slick looks absolutely cool! When I first saw the ram head I thought of Ramulus of the Beast Wars ;-) A Maximal converted to Decepticon?

Cool page, but there's a mistake. This isn't the first Oil Slick. There was another one released in the Universe line way-back-when that was an exclusive to Khol's stores. It came in a 2 pack with Ultra Magnus, a repaint of deluxe Armada Optimus Prime.

Yeah, I remember that set! Wasn't the Oil Slick that came with Ultra Magnus a repaint of armada Sideswipe? My memories' kind of fuzzy. And I still want my City Commander upgrade set!!! Hope it gets here soon!

I love this guy's toy, but I don't get his 'Attack Mode'. He's just lying forward on his hands and feet, with some parts still in their motorcycle form.

lord megatron, you and TriPredRavage are both wrong about the first Oil Slick. The Side Swipe repaint that came with Ultra Magnus was Treadshot, whose color scheme evoked G1 Dead End. Oil Slick came in a two-pack with Crystal Widow, a repaint of Beast Machines Blackarachnia.

Oh you're right, that was Treadshot. I always got them confused because they were so similar being the same mold and then very similar colorschemes (if I remember correctly). I never said that it was the first one either, though. I was merely stating that the TFA one wasn't the first one. Then again, according the the TF Wiki, the Universe one was the first one...

I know what you mean, Sabr, I was talking to Jumpercliff because I was under the impression that he was saying that he was saying it wasn't the first, but maybe he was just correcting the Oli Slick/Treadshot error. I've lost track... T_T

To get some confusion out of the way: the first Oil Slick is the one two-packed with Crystal Widow and the second is the Mini-Con, so the Oil Slick of Animated is the third bearing the name.

I'm still confused, I don't know. This guys name is Oil Slick. There's been so many recycled names over the years it hard to keep track anymore. I hope this one appears in the cartoon.
