At Unicron.com, we've resisted making any kind of log-in system like it was the plague.  We just don't like log-ins.  However, we're playing with a brand new web site tool from Google, "Google Friend Connect".  I don't know if we're going to hang onto it forever, but I want to get everyone to help me try it out.  You can "join" near the bottom of the main page.

The beauty of it is, you don't have to remember yet-another-username.  If you have a Google, Yahoo, AOL, or OpenID account, you can just use that to sign in.  You can see and befriend other members with it, and... the future is still a little hazy.  I started by adding comment panels to each store and toy page in our sightings section.  (Seemed like a good idea to me!)  Let's see how that works.
