Does Jetstorm turn evil? Maybe he should be called Silverbolt first then. Beast Machines reference for all you youngsters. And that could give a G1 homage as well. Aerialbot Silverbolt was created by Alpha Trion. Doesn't anyone out there remember this stuff?

And there's a point to Jetstorm's name. They're the JET twins. JETstorm. JETfire. They turn into JETs. In case you haven't guessed, they're JET related. JETs are the theme here. Their favorite sports team is the JETS. I'm sure their catchphrase is 'Let's JET'. Their favorite movie series within a TV show is the 'JET Fusion' series.

I want to know who the blue headed transformers was behind the overly shocked Ultra Magnus. I can identify everyone else, but who's that guy? What's his story?

I believe that he, and the other unknown Bots in the pics, are just several generic characters, which is very common in most TF fiction.

First off Alpha Trion didn't actually create silverbolt, he helped construct the arialbots and then sacrificed himself so that the other autobots could request sparks for them.
Anyway if that really is a Fem Red Alert than its actually funny, because that would technically mean there are TWO ratchets in the show. Perceptor is actually okay but wheeljack is making me angry. He has a mouth!!!! =O

There's actually an interesting story behind Red Alert being female. Way back when Animated was still being made, Oprimus' team was going to have a female medic bot named Red Alert, and Bulkhead was going to have Ratchet's current personality. But somewhere along the way, Red Alert was dropped and replaced with Ratchet, and Bulkhead was given the personality he has today. And now the idea of Red Alert has been broguth back and given new life.

It's the same case with Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime. Bumblebee was originally going to be a bot called Hot Shot, but the movie's popularity made them change him into the Bumblebee we know today. And Sentinel Prime was original going to be Rodimus Prime, but Hasbro didn't want Rodimus to play the role of a jerk, and so was changed into the current Sentinel Prime. And so the ideas of Hot Shot and Rodimus Prime have also been revived.

Oh I must have missed that one. Still I think perceptor is good and wheel jack looks weird, even for being in animated. But the medic thing makes sense. And the fact that they didn't want Rodimus as a jerk also makes sense. Technically Hot Rod was decent from the very begging, and he didn't really even give Megatron that upperhand when Prime was about to finish him. (basically I think in a way Hot Rod saved Prime for a few seconds and prevented Megs from entirely winning, because Prime was still thinking about wheather he should actually kill Megatron or not)

Personally I find Jetstorm/Jetfire rather uninspiring for two characters with a rather iconic transformers history. Glad to see Rodimus getting some respect - cant wait to see that toy.

Personally I'd love to see another combiner done - a jet to robot and a tank to robotic cat. Have them combine in vehicle mode to look like a super armored and armed jet and in robot modes as an armored robot. Names?

Skyfire for the jet and Metalynx for the tank - combined? Skylynx! (Then they could even have another hybrid form like the old skylinx looked like too.)

Interesting Idea actually. And it'd be interesting to add another chracter that transforms from robot to tank+jet to base to jet+tank combo
