By the way, just saw episode 11 of Wolverine and the X-Men, which featured Abraham Cornelius, Sabertooth, the mysterious bald doctor, Maverick, and his daughter Christie, who's a geokinetic mutant. I have to say, I don't like John McCain as a maverick, and the only ones for me are the Marvel Maverick and the GI Joe member of the Battle Force 2000.

This is a must have for me. The mold looks fantastic. The head doesn't look like the first prime's. I just wish it didn't have the giant glare from the light. I'd like to have a better look at his lower legs.

I never got the 1st movie Prime, But I know for sure I will get this one. It looks great. Just wish he had a gun.

On an unrelated note; I think I am going to be starting my first kitbash. I'm a little nervous, but if I can pull this off, I'll end the project with an incredible sense of accomplishment...

It will be very hard to resist this.. I don't think I can. I got the first movie Prime but this thing looks so nice and much more movie accurate. Maybe I'll make a Prime movie collection since he is the only movie figure of the first set I got anyway.

Although I have to admit an SR-71 Jetfire will be just as hard for me to resist. The alt mode will have to look good as well on that though, I don't like messed up proportions on my blackbird. That is one of the best jets ever to soar past mach 3 (most likely more than that as well) and Jetfire will be doing it a service to let the design meet the sky again after all these years, even if it is all CGI.

mmm i dont like it look more like a hybrid between that crappy voyager class and the awsome leader class from the 2007 movie.

I already have this character in these colors at Leader size. Pass for me. I don't really care about movie accuracy that much so I'll just wait for the repaint.

I have to see more details before I pick this up.

Upon methodically studying the image here I am even more interested as this is not only more accurate to the appearance of Prime in the movie than the first toy but it is more accurate to the transformation scheme to the movie model.

Using my engineering senses I looked at similarities of parts on each mode and have concluded that, more like in the movie, that this toy has the robot arms transform out of the trucks hood with the grill still making the feet and somehow the rest of the legs making the back cab.
(how the legs do this has been something that puzzles me even on the CGI model in the movie, especially since the designers of the bots have said everything goes somewhere realistically in the transformations. This toy may provide the answer to this puzzle of how the legs seem to transform both into the back cab and the front grill).

The design of the previous (leader class) toy was done to best replicate the movie transformation but the arm placement was moved to the back of the cab and the legs taking up the whole truck hood and grill area. Perhaps they found a way to easier design this toy so that it fits the transformation on screen better while still not being overly complicated (or it could be very complicated... but I doubt this somehow).

Considering that I didnt get the first one, that this one is way more screen accurate, and what Master Dex just said, I am definitely getting this one.

I like it! I only hope they got rid of those tabs that fold down on the insides of his feet. They make transforming him into his truck mode a little hard.

For some reason I don't like it right now. IDK why. For it to be really screen acurrate as far as transformation goes, I hope they at least had the rear liscence plate go to the bottom of the truck and retract forward (as I remember that happening during Prime's transformation when they were on the freeway.) They have to at least have included the cannon as that was also a crucial bit.
And good luck on kitbashing TPR. I'm sure it'll turn out well. Personally I would love to learn to kitbash myself. If I could first thing I'd try is taking a G1 prime cab and a G1 Magnus trailor and remould them into a Pre-earth Armada Prime. But yea, post pics up somewhere when you finish.
