The Ark Addendum: The Ark II!

Taking another break from the recent movie news, let's step back in time to near the very beginning of the Transformers.

Jim Sorenson, who was responsible for the two Ark Compendium books of G1 animation model sheets, has again updated his blog, Disciples of Boltax, with another piece of artwork that had to be cut from the Ark books (and even fro its own episode!): The Ark II. This ship was supposed to appear at the end of the G1 season one episode "More Than Meets the Eye, Part 3" back before it was cut out due to the three-episode mini-series being turned into a full-fledged TV series. However, not all of it was actually removed from the episode, only a tiny bottom corner of its launch platform was still visible in the episode, but that's it. i dont know if anyone notices that tf prices whent from 7.95 to 12.95 in ohio so when the usa has bad economy they say lets raise the price

It's basically the same case everywhere for Deluxes too.

On topic, now imagine if we had seen this thing in the episode and The Transformers simply ended after Part 3. None of todays Transformers lines would even exist if this concept hadn't been cut, along with the idea to end the mini-series right then and there with no follow up episodes.

If you think about it, it may have been used in a small way at the end of the Beast Wars. Remember there was the shuttle that they used to get back to Cybertron.

That was the Autobot Shuttle Omega Delta, not the Ark II.

And that shuttle was WAY smaller than the ship in this image.

Wow, that is quite an interesting tidbit. I'm glad it wasn't used at the end of the miniseries (so that we got more episode), but too bad it couldn't have been fit elsewhere. Maybe the Ark II could have been used sometime between 1986 and 2005 (after season two ended, but before the movie)?
Also, in the Dreamwave G1 comic, there was mention of the Ark II, that the Autobots and humans had defeated the Decepticons, and then built said ship to return them all (including seven humans, Sparkplug being one of them) to Cybertron. However, the ship exploded, originally due to an accident, but then from apparent sabotage (in volume 1, a human General was said to have blown it up, yet in volume 2, Shochwave claimed that he had destroyed it).
As for Transformer prices Megatrong1, what stare are you buying from? Walmart and Target generally seem to be cheaper and TRU...
in fact I just got Universe Cyclonus today (finally!!! After months of waiting!) for $9.99 at Target. But then again, it might vary from state to state. Maybe we'll see a $5 increase before too long.
