Sketches of TFA Alpha Trion, Dai Atlas, and a new Decepticon!

Once again, more sketches of new Transformers Animated characters have surfaced. Seibertron.com has recieved images of three more character sketches of three more new Animated characters: Dai Atlas, Alpha Trion, and a new, unidentified Decepticon character.

The first sketch is of Dai Atlas. Based off the G1/TF: Zone character of the same name, he seems to be quite ninja-esque, relating to the rumor about him being a another ninja like Prowl and Jazz, only more advanced. His insignia also shows that he's a another Elite Guard member. Among his design features, his head is his body part that is most like his G1 version. However, his G1 version's most notable body features (aside from his head) are missing: he has no wings. Instead, he has two drills on each shoulder, as the G1 Dai Altas was able to change into a drill tank, in addition to a spaceship. Overall, he looks pretty good.

Next is Alpha Trion. Very G1-looking, almost the same as G1 Alpha Trion, but with just enough differences between the two. He's pretty lanky, and his cape is quite big, but still a good representation of the character.

Last is the new unknown Decepticon who looks... well, he really doen't look much like anyone. He's quite short and stout-looking. He has such stubby legs/feet, and he's got these two tall panel things sticking up from his back. He also seems to have some sort of device over his head, as well as these circular things behind his shoulders. Wheels, perhaps? Anyway, it'll be intersting to see who this guy turns out to be.

Check'em all out here.

Wow! Its been a while since I last posted. Anyway, those Alpha Trion designs are AWESOME!
I don't know much about Dai Atlas though, other than the name, or the importance of the character. Someone care to clue me in?

Dai Altas was the leader of the Autobots back in Transformers Zone, a Japanese-exclusive series that premiered in 1990 and only released one episode, but it continued through its manga and story pages. Dai Atlas belonged to a subgroup called Powered Masters (different from Powermasters), which were TFs that had spring-loaded actions in their transformations and each could turn into a base mode. But Dai Atlas had an extra feature of motorized action that enabled his treads to move. After Autobot Supreme Commander Victory Saber had disappeared and soon had been found badly damaged, Dai Atlas briefly took command to combat the new Decepticon forces called the Nine Great Demon Generals (which were really just the 1985-88 Decepticon gestalts and city-bots given new attire and weapons), who were commanded by the three-headed demonic alien Violen Jiger. They were searching for a special source of energy called the Zodiac, which Dai Altas and fellow Powered Master Sonic Bomber took possession of in the end and swiftly destroyed Trypticon, King Poseidon, and Predaking all at once. After this battle, Victory Saber, having been repaired, appointed Dai Atlas the new Autobot Supreme Commander, but the war had not ended yet. In the preceding stories, the Nine Demon Generals were eventually destroyed and a new Decepticon threat showed up in the form of Metrotitan (a redeco of G1 Metroplex), as did the new Autobot Powered Master Roadfire, who, Along with Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber, fought back against Metrotitan and beat him. Eventually, Violen Jiger stole all the Zodiac and the Powered Masters went after him. Violen Jiger then split into three insectoid forms and battle the three Autobots. Once defeated, Violen Jiger than assumed his true form: a fiery skull-faced phoenix form. The three Powered Masters combined together into their combined vehicle mode called Big Powered and ultimately destroyed Violen Jiger. They then used the Zodiac to turn Violen Jiger's planet into a paradise.

Those look like really nice designs, and I just got some actor ideas:

-Sab Shimono as Dai Atlas: He really looks like the regal type, and Shimono has a very distinct voice.

-John Stephenson (still alive and as a way reprising his role) or Mel Brooks as Alpha Trion: I think Brooks could easily do this since he HAS played some wiseguys before (Rabbi Tuckman or Yogurt, anyone?).

By the way, FYI, BWTF is back online!

The decepticon looks like movie payload.

I dunno about these guys. I'll reserve judgement on their designs until I see the color schemes. I'm somewhat interested in seeing what they transform into and who the decepticon is.

I believe the mystery 'con could possibly be BM's Tankor. While he's certainly different from how Stryka was interpreted, I just get that vibe from him. Plus, that thingy on his head kind of reminds me of the Diagnostic Drone.

Just a thought, but it could be a new constructicon, someone who transforms into a fork lift.

TFW2005 member S250 has discovered that the new Con is named Dirt Boss. ROTF anyone?
