It's Electrostatic.

Skids' robot mode image is shown as an Error.

Okay, now that I have a really good view of Legends Springer (and thank you guys for providing it) I'm more interested in the figure. Again, it looks like they've really stepped it up on the Legends figures this time around.

Corrections (and numerous additions) made. Thanks

Here's my question, what does everybody make of the fact that the $100 supreme toy with ROTF, the Devastator combiner, has vehicles that don't transform into individual robots.

I think the toy looks pretty sweet. And after we see the movie, I'm sure we'll all say, oh yeah. I can see how poorly the toy would've suffered, if it had vehicles that turned into robots AND combined. But for now, I'm thinkin' it's pretty sad. It's the first time I can remember, maybe ever, that the Transformers engineers raised the white flag and said, "sorry, we just can't do it."

Oh well. I think it looks pretty sweet none-the-less.

Well, this Devastator will be the second TF combiner whose components do not transform into their own robot modes. The first one was Magmatron, but he had an additional beast mode as well.

In this case, none of Devastator's components transform into robot modes. However, Rampage and Demolishor/Scavenger will be getting additional figures that do transform into robot modes. So maybe the rest of Devy's components will too.

But I still wonder if the final name of the shovel will be Demolishor or Scavenger. While Scavenger seems the more logical one as it was the name of one of the original Constructicons, Demolishor is plainly printed on the Voyager toy's box.

to tell the truth i dont care if the componets to devastor dont have robot modes and the only thing i know im pretty much buying the whole toy line.

I'm still on the fence about the massive Devastator figure. I don't care one way or the other about the individual components transforming into robot modes. I'm concerned about the $100 price tag (yeah, I know, but I'm on a budget). I am, however enthusiastic about the Rampage and Demolisher(Scavenger) figures. Those look really nice and will definetly net my purchasing buck.

And I just noticed, Rampage has a facial structure very similar to Bonecrusher. His body style speaks of some similarities, but his face is pretty close.

Devastator is so sweet he's gonna gets his own place on my 'Bed o Fame'

Does anyone else think Arcee kinda comes across as a ninja bot with two swords as her only weapons.
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-02-16 09:07:34
Not really. I mean, in the past we've gotten figures that only came with sword, but they didn't seem ninja-esque.

Plus, her role in the show as an intelligence officer didn't seem very ninja-like either.

Also, before he was killed in the first movie, do you guys think that Bonecrusher could've belonged to the Devastator group?
Jumpercliff said,  - 2009-02-16 11:02:24
Do you think Springer will have another size besides Legends?
Sidewinder said,  - 2009-02-16 11:18:53
To Sabrblade: I think so. Either he was a part of that group or at least shared design specs with at least one member of that group. He looks too similar to Rampage for it to be coincidence.

To Jumpercliff: I think the Legends Springer is an unused mold from the last movie, intended once upon a time to be a Legends sized Incinerator. I don't know (or think) that they'll repaint Incinerator as Springer, but if they do I hope they remodel his head and hands.

Well I personally am on the fence about Devestator. 2 Ft. tall combiner? Sounds sweet. But I'm not sure about the robot mode. I'm sorry, it just irks me a bit. Plus the fact that vehicles don't individually become robots? Makes me think more of Voltron.
I have difficulty believing that the engineers decided they couldn't incorporate individual robot modes into Devestators' components. I mean, it's not the first time they've had to make a combiner... the only difference is that this time it look like they have no additional pieces to add and and that it's on such a large scale. Maybe a pre-approved form for both the combined robot and the vehicles limited them, but I wouldn't think by that much.

Okay, so devastater will be a supreme class?
Autobutt said,  - 2009-02-16 13:39:02
Actually, since Devastator is so big it should be easier to give the individuals robot modes. I say this whole thing with selling seperate figures for the characters is just something to make more money.
Bumblebee said,  - 2009-02-16 13:57:01
I'm getting Devastator for sure, maybe Optimus and human alliance. I might also get the fallen depending on his toy sizes and his size in the movie.

i need to see the rotf pretender figure
Slashwing said,  - 2009-02-17 11:22:03
I guess this Arcee is based on her IDW incarnation, complete with the "crazy sword of I´ll kill U to death" thing. about the Devastator figure not having individual Bot modes, I see millions of kitbashers building their own with the deluxe/ voyager figures in the future.

Sabr, this guy i work with he reads everything that has to deal with TF's and he told me that Bonecrusher live somehow and becomes "Jungle Bonecrusher" and that Starscream take Brawls (A.K.A. Devastator) body to space and reformats him in to longhaul.

as for acrcee I did say based on How her swords were shaped
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-02-17 15:10:57
Jungle Bonecrusher only exists as a toy.

As for that bit about Brawl, say what?
1-10 said,  - 2009-02-17 19:51:26
...??? wtf iv been gone to long its toy fair all ready
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2009-02-18 02:10:42
Nope from what my friend reads Jungle Bonecrusher is quite real in the TF universe. He some how goes into the jungle and lives there becoming Jungle Bonecrusher.

as for Brawl go back and watch the last scene of TF when they're dumping the decepticons in to the ocean if you look closely you can see theres only Megatron's and Blackouts body on the ship. The reason is Starscream takes Brawl's body to mars (i think) and reformats him into Long Haul one of the bot that forms Devastator
jimmydude said,  - 2009-02-18 18:45:08
what have they done to you devastator?
