Cassette-Formers!

How can you not love them?! For me, these are the best cassette transformers of all time! Check out the newly updated 1988 Section with yet another pair of additions: Grand Slam and Raindance who combine to form SLAMDANCE and Beast Box and Squawktalk who combine to form SQUAWKBOX. Yet another group of outstanding toys, not featured often enough in Transformers comics or cartoons. Now, if only they had some Transformers that turned into Beta-Max cartridges! :)

Onward with my 'push all other priorities aside' obsession to polish off the 1988 Section!

ah, those were fun! I wish that they would've appeared in the show, a few extra cassettes for Soundwave is always a plus in my book!

More non-show characters. Although, Squawkbox was available in Japan as part of a mail-away order, so he could've been one of those "off-screen" characters fighting the war in space with the 1987 characters, since he does fit in better with those guys instead of the 1988 characters.

Great pages! Perfect for Universe updates! Voice ideas: Mike Leonard as Grand Slam and Anderson Cooper as Raindance, with Carson Daly as Slamdance, and Jason Alexander as Beastbox, Chris Kattan as Squawktalk, and Seth McFarlane as Squawkbox.

Nice galleries, but Squawkbox is mistransformed. Squawktalk's tail goes on the front as some sort of loincloth. Also, Beastbox's weapons peg into the holes on Squawktalk's weapons for their combined mode.

I remember Beastbox well. I was in the third grade and someone lifted him/them from me when I was at school. Granted I shouldn't have brought them to school in the first place...And yes, I really dated myself there.
