Interesting info, Great jet mode. looks like he could have been evil at one time. It'll be interesting to see the combination on the movie. I hope the toy combination is properly proportioned. They did a good job on Prime combinations in the past, but I think the worst has to be the Cybertron Optimus. This time it's two leader class toys combining, this will definitely be interesting!

While im excite to see my favorite aircraft made into a transformer, not to mention its one of my favorite characters new alt mod. I am not really sure what to make of his robot mode.....

Jetfire looks great. Rumor in Holland has been that Jetfire has the same past as the G1 Jetfire. From explorer/scientist to Decepticon to Autobot. Try taking that into a two hour film with all the supposed new characters. Are they going to make the movie 3,5 hours just like Lord Of The Rings? I don't think so... :(
Still looking forward to the new movie and the scenario set for it, espacially the histories and background of the new characters...

I actually like the ideas behind this new character. Its nice to see an old cybertronian in the movie series, and it really does beg the question of, if cybertronians can live for millions of years and keep their vitality, how old IS Jetfire that he needs a cane? Also, he kind of gives off a whole "Dag nabbit, I left Cybertron to get away from the rackensmaken war! Get off my lawn!" vibe. I hope he hits a decepticon with that cane.

I believe it has been said the cane is because he has some old war wound. Why this can't be repaired, I don't know, maybe he doesn't want to be repaired, reminds me of another character from a different franchise.

The robot mode is a little iffy for me as well as all that kibble under his jet mode. However the SR-71 is one of the most beautiful planes to exist and Jetfire is doing it service by making it fly again, even if only in CG.

Rumor has it that John Turturro is voicing Jetfire. Only time will tell if this is true.
