ACToys.net has posted clearer images of the ROTF TakaraTomy EZ Collection (Legends class) Devastator, as well as his components. These images show us how each robot mode of all of his members compare in resemblance to their larger toys, as well as revealing what those who haven't a larger toy yet look in Robot Mode.
First, Devastator looks like his Supreme figure, except more flexible and articulated. Wish I could say the same for the individual components. Some of them are good, but some aren't too great.
Starting with Overload, the newest and most recently revealed member. He turns into a red flat bed vehicle and his robot mode bears a striking resemblance to the Bonecrusher toy from the first movie.
Next comes Mixmaster. His vehicle mode is a cement mixer and is very accurate to his larger figures in this form. Although, his robot mode is somewhat similar to his Voyager's robot mode. His arms are further back and he's a bit squat, but it's a decent enough resemblance.
Then comes Rampage. Good vehicle mode, which is a bulldozer, and is also very accurate. Can't say the same for the robot mode, however. Whereas the Deluxe version has a sort of a four-legged look, this toy did away with that and made up in bulk with height. He seems to be the "skyscraper" of the team.
Scavenger is next. Wait, did I say "Scavenger"? I ought to have said "Demolishor". Both this figure's excavator vehicle mode and the robot mode bear too much of a striking resemblance to the Voyager Demolishor figure to be a different character. Face, we need a confirmation on who's who.
Next comes Scrapper. Very cool-looking in both modes. His vehicle is a scoop loader and his robot mode is very sleek, slim, and I'm almost willing to say "ninja-like".
Nearing the end, we get to Long Haul. His dump truck vehicle mode looks very simplified compared to his FAB and Voyager figure. But his robot mode closely resembles to Voyager's robot mode, albeit with some simplification on it own.
Finally, the last one of the lot is Hightower. The phrase "saving the best for last" does not apply here. While his crawler crane vehicle mode does look cool, I can honestly say that his robot mode is less than appealing. It doesn't even look like a robot at all. It reminds me somewhat of a frog mixed with a helicopter. Make of that what you will.
There is still no word on an official Hasbro U.S. release of this set.
You may see all of these here.
