Oh wow! Looks like it was a lot of fun! I went to Botcon last year so this year's BC was kind of out of question. I hope I get to go again sometime in the near future! Why can't we have a Botcon in Missouri? I mean, it may be a distance away from the company but it is in the center of the US.

Knew this was coming! That's why I held off on posting so much of the BotCon news the other sites were getting (aside from a few bits here and there).

Anyway, what about all that Unicron in Transformers 3 talk!?!?! I'll tell you what, it's certainly not set in stone and could absolutely change between now and when TF3 starts getting written. But I'll tell you what, when the question of Unicron came up with Kurtzman and Orci, (over and over!) they gave me the distinct impression that Unicron is being given serious consideration for the third part in the Transformers trilogy. Geez, we've already got the Matrix, the Allspark, even Sideway (a UNICRON vessel in Armada). We also have The Fallen, a Herald of the Apocalypse, who has also been written as a servant of the Chaos Bringer in the War Within series...

It sure feels like we're being set up for a return of our site's favorite, UNICRON! What would you think of that?

As far as Sideways (who was one of the most interesting characters originally) and The Fallen go I would certainly hope the writers of the movie leave enough room for that to be feasible and make sense in the next movie.
That aside I went to Botcon first time this year and it was probably the most fun I ever had. I went overboard on buying at the dealers booths (I actually bought a Shining Magnus there among numerous other goodies), and that was only half the fun. I missed the David Kaye/Weird Al panal aside from the last five minutes, but at least got Kaye to autograph my collection 6 G1 Megatron (cause David Kaye makes a kick@$$ Megatron) and my movie legends 4 pack (since he's been prime and Megatron). Apparently he lives somewhere close by to me since we both drove there (Kaye is now fosho my fave voice actor). Any all of Botcon was fun and I certainly hope to go again.

And to Orci and Kurtzman, PLEASE don't put Unicron into T3. Leave him for G1 and Armada/Energon. I don't want to see another catastrophe like the Fantastic Four sequel did with Galactus. Unicron is best left for animation.

I tend to agree with you. There is a great potential for disaster (I'm talking real life, not within the fiction!) by putting Unicron in a live move. To be honest, I'm not sure that I want him in the movies either.

Optimus Prime is great and everything, but what good is a robot that turns into a truck against a Transformer with a planet alt mode? Unless you plan on duplicating the ending of TFTM in TF3. OP opens matrix, Unicron self destructs... It's certainly not impossible that it could be done well but I'm a bit skeptical. I do NOT want to see an Autobot/Decepticon team up to defeat Unicron, I don't really want a re-do of TFTM ending... I'm just not sure how they could do it that I'd like the ending.

Even w/ our site's URL I might prefer to see Dinobots, Aerialbots and or Combaticons. We'll see.

Most people will probably disagree but I loved the way they finished it (even though Unicron techniaclly survived) iin Armada. Autobots/Decepticons seemingly kill Unicron, then Prime and Megatron go at it one final time.

Well, Unicron has sorta already appeared in Movieverse fiction. Take a look at this:

Unicron could work for movies if they severely downed him and made him more on a level of Xmen apocalypse than unicron as we know and also if it was definitely the last movie in the set.

About Unicron, I think that he should be included in third Transformers movie but something of a smaller scale, similar to the tank Unicron in Transformers Cybertron. Of course, he'll need to be phenominaly large(Bigger than Devastator), but just large enough to get the point across that what you're dealing with is one HUGE Transformer. As for design and concepts, I believe that the Horns on his helmet and his skeletal wings should stay as the most dominant features. As for color, I believe that a rusty orange mixed with black and gunmetal would work wonders on the design.

Let me guess, Perceptor, you were giddy when they showed off the Unicron prototype. And I would just be SHOCKED if Unicron and Primus were in the third movie.
