If you've been a long time fan of Beast Wars, you may have heard of a Japanese spinoff series called Beast Wars II (Beast Wars Second). In this series, there were teams of Maximal and Predacons like the American series, except that they feauted all different charatcers and were led by Lio Convoy and Galvatron. At the time, his figure was made available to the U.S. only as a limited online exclusive.
Fast forward to the near-present, Lio Convoy was (re)introduced to the U.S. through IDW's Beast Wars comics (The Gathering and The Ascension) where he kept his Japanese name, and some at least two action figures, where he was renamed "Leo Prime". Both figures were redecos of the Cybertron Leobreaker mold in different sizes. The first being redecoed from the Legends Class figure, and the second being redecoed form the larger Voyager Class figure (and even received a new headsculpt). However, the Voyager Leo Prime figure wasn't colored like his Beast wars II counterpart (as the Legends figure was), and was instead colored in the traditional "Optimus Prime" red, blue and gray/silver colors (though, his pre-Earth cartoon model bore these colors as well).
Now, TFW2005 has the first images of what might be another possible redeco of the Voyager Leobreaker mold with the Leo Prime headsculpt in show-accurate Lio Convoy colors! Now since nothing has been confirmed yet, take this as a grain of salt, as it could be a custom repainted figure (and it still bears that darn Autobot symbol when he's a Maximal!). But real or fake, this thing looks amazing. Check out the images here.
