I really like the head sculpt. Looks fantastic. I already bought Prime though and don't need another.

7/26/09: I have to agree with Perceptor, one of the top 5 transformers molds. We thought that the first movie's Prime was a masterpiece figure. This mold blows it away.
I'm already planning a custom for this toy. I'm going to make a gun from the previous mold and remold the swords.

Should have put a head with a switchable face plate on the first figure in the first place.

After a none-too-brief hiatus, I'm able to see the internet again! WO-HOO!

These images take my breath away... Amazing photographs of of a toy with the most stunningly beautiful paint job, placed on, what is IMHO, among the top 5 best Transformers toy molds in the history of Transformers... Absolute perfection. I *must* have this toy! As one wise old bot once said, "no matter the cost!"

I think I'd prefer to own this figure if I didn't already own the standard Leader class Prime (which I only just bought a matter of a few days ago no less).
I admit, the paint job on this figure looks FANTASTIC, and it's nice having the gun... but personally I wish they had given the standard figure a gun, even if it was some random detachable piece that added more kibble in truck mode.
I also am partial to the mouthpiece too, but the resculpted head looks nice too
(btw, anybody here read the IDW comics? In All Hail Megatron #13, comic Optimus is shown to have the retractable mouth plate too).
Cool figure, but for me, I'll try kitbashing a gun for mine, and maybe even trying to give him a better paint job.

Why kitbash a gun when you can get the custom gun?

this is a very nice piece, but only come in Nov, the faceplate, I guess can easyly make(maybe they will come out another one with faceplate soon or maybe Hasbro turn, by just take the first one painted silver on the grey area 0_0)

They should've came out with this one first anyway! What! No chrome, at least with the g1, you got chrome. For 90 busks you could have given a chrome grill! Although, it is a nice piece, one of the better molds...
