Today Bay Announces TF3 in 2011!

On his website/forum "Shoot for the edit" Michael Bay shares news with the world that Transformers 3 will be released on July 1st 2001 (not 2012 as earlier reported). Bay also includes a humorous P.S. specifically directed to Megan Fox. Read the full text below or at his Shoot for the edit forum.

Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012. 

Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I'm flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.

P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. Well at least this time we dont have a writers strike to mess things up.

Itll be great fun though!

I'm glad to see Megan Fox finally get reprimanded (if humorously).

Still, wanting to complete another Transformers film in such a short time is ambitious. I hope they can handle it. Love it or hate it, Revenge of the Fallen left big shoes to fill. If they can top the forest fight (especially the IMAX version) I will be impressed.

the only way the movie will be better than RoTF will be if they scarpe the pissant story they have and go for full blown action

face it at this point of game the story is going to suck, because there is no time to write a good one
or better yet get simmon to wrtie the script, he can atlest make a good one in a month or 2

the story of ROTF was so terrible. I wish they would cut Bay as the director. The first movie's story was about average for an action flick, but again, ROTF was awful. Please no stupid twins, 1000 sex jokes, and 'younglings.' I had such high expectations for ROTF, so this time my excitement will be tempered with bay still directing.

She made some comments about how she was mistreated in filming ROTF. I dunno exactly what but i dont think Bay was directly invovled in it.

Well, I'm sure that Michael Bay learned from his 149-minute mistake, and we can expect a much better movie in 2011. No more T-1000 ripoffs with 300-foot tongues, no more mindless hunchbacked robots that just _happen_ to be gangsta, no more potentially awesome characters demoted to 30-second cameos, and best of all, no more giant wrecking balls!

Yeah, right. Let the pain continue.
