TRANSFORMERS: PRIME

"Debuting later this fall Hasbro in conjunction with Discovery Communications Inc will release a new Transformers cartoon on a new TV channel currently called Discovery Kids called Transformers: Prime.

Jeffrey will be the voice of Ratchet, a very well known character in the Transformers world. There are 26 episodes scheduled for the first season. Exact details of the show are currently unavailable but will be posted here as soon as they are made available.

Jeffrey is quite thrilled with the opportunity to be cast in the role of Ratchet. He's not able to talk too much about the show this early in the production but did have this quote: "What I can say is that it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a prestigious project."

Maybe, from how the name sounds, we'll get a full 7 or 13 primes with names. Maybe we can end the 8 year mystery of who are the origonal primes.

Whaddya mean "26 year mystery"? The idea of there being 13 Original Transformers first came about around 2002 (eight years ago). While Prima did appear in the Marvel Comics, his being one of the 13 was made as a retcon.

Yeah for a new show!

Hope it is based on the War for Cybertron video-game, and covers story arks hinted at in the game. I would bet that the PRIME name is just a placeholder, but could be wrong.

Wow. Never pictured Jeffrey Combs as Ratchet, but hey, if he could do the Question and Kite Man, then he can do this. Wonder what happened to Michael Bell?

Bell's probably still going to play that Fowler guy. He only auditioned for Ratchet, but never said said that he got the role.

Yeah, not everything about their origins was thought of in the 80s. There's been quite a lot of retcons (some good, some not) over the years.

ya i know like i said i was just thinking about how many years the TF universe has been around when i wrote that.

when you use that number more than any other number it sorta just became a force of habit to use that number.
