Transformers 3, Connect Movie-verse to G1?

"They (the story writer/editors) really went back into the history of the Transformers. And they didn't really make anything up. They're using stuff that actually existed. ... in the (Transformers) story from before."

That, among other things, is what actor Josh Duhamel (Major Lennox) told a reporter in an interview with MTV regarding his role and the next installment of Transformers. Click the link to hear for yourself!

Could this mean we will see on the big screen a time-traveling trip aboard the Ark, ending in a crash landing into Mt. Saint Helens in 1984? Time will tell!

Yes, something good to happen in Washington state for once. Because being named after our first president isnt enough to get the reconition we deserve

The inclusion of homages/nods/fanwankage/references/cameos/etc. does not mean that Tyran will become a part of Primax. That's too radical of a retcon for them to do.

Besides, shouldn't we be more concerned about Josh's "I can't tell you," regarding the Dinobots?

retconning would be far too hard to do with movieverse and g1. they could do some crazy dimentional displacement but i do hope not. i just hope they bring back mor old caricters and please please include sunstreeker and change sideswipe's colouration to red in the next film. bay said there would be no dinobots in the movieverse because he "doesn't like dinosaurs" but time will tell i guess. i personally don't think they would work unless some cybertronian crash landed on earth in prehistory and skanned a dinosaur but doesn't seem likely to me. please please just let them bring in mor g1 caricters like kup, hotrod, ultra magnus, cyclonus and scourge as well as good inteligant combiners

Why would they do that? That would mean we would be able to see what's coming in the movie....

But well maybe that means they will bring back the target/headmasters, Sam would be Bumblebee's, and Lennox would be Ironhide's

I'm thinking this just means that the movies will start respecting the cartoon's history a bit more rather than apparently yanking elements from when and wherever and slapping them together however they see fit. Maybe Prime gets a trailer?

I don't know about the headmasters/targetmasters though. I like the idea of them just being small transformers, but not humans in suits that transformer.
