While the Transfomers Animated toyline is somewhat starting to reach its ending moments in the U.S., the series is only just beginning in Japan. And with their version of the show come new versions of the toys in their markets. KOToys.com has lately been posting several galleries of some of the Japanese Animated toys, and have included side-by-side comparisons to their American toy counterparts.
Ironhide (Bulkhead) comes in a metallic paint scheme and has had all his dark lime green replaced with a deep jade green. Shockwave comes in a lighter and somewhat more show-accurate shade of gray. Lugnut comes in a more royal violet (as opposed to the U.S. figure's more duller violet), except for his unchanged axe/tailfin. Grimlock comes in a much brighter color scheme overall, save for his unchanged dino claws dino toes/robot claws, and tail tips. Starscream sports metallic blue and red on his wings and cockpit section. And Prowl features metallic gold on his motorcycle's front and sides, as well as what appears to be chrome silver in his headlights.
Also of notice is KOToys's shared gallery of Blitzwing at Seibertron.com. Blitzwing comes in metallic paint scheme and, similar to Bulkhead/Ironhide, has had a decent amount (but not all) of his dull gray replaced with a golden beige.
