Clear pics of United Wheeljack, Rumble/Frenzy, and Grapple

Japanese online retailer e-Hobby has even clearer images of the upcoming Transformers: United figures Wheeljack (prototype), Rumble/Frenzy (prototype) and Grapple.

We can now see for sure that Wheeljack is an extensive retool of Tracks, sporting a brand new head, new feet, a different transformation, and comes with new wrench-like tools/weapons.

Rumble/Frenzy both turn into tanks and do include a pile driver feature built into their arms. Accordign to the preorder page, Frenzy will be blue and Rumble will be red (but this has yet to effect any fictional portrayals of them, so worry not FIRRIB fans).

Grapple we've seen before, but this figure looks too good to just ignore. Of those mentioned here, he's the only one know to have a Hasbro release as Solar Storm "Grappel".

It's sort of a disappointment of how Frenzy and Rumble both turn into tanks. I want a cassette player Soundwave with cassette Frenzy, Rumble, Lazerbeak, and Ravage. With Hasbro's modern technology, it could be a very popular toy.
As for Wheeljack, I have to get him. We haven't had a Wheeljack in quite a long time. I'm sorry to Grapple fans, but personally, I think the Grapple toy is sort of bland. He needs to have a cool gimmick or action feature, because he's quite boring and probably won't sell well to kids.

Not if today's youngsters don't know what a cassette/player is. They'd better know of MP3 players and maybe CDs.

Sabrblade, good point. That's true, but G1 fans would like it, and some older kids who like the G1 Soundwave might. Maybe a store exclusive, but Hasbro only makes repaints exclusives. It's very sad how no kids would want a tape-recorder Soundwave anymore. But seriously, some transformers' alt modes and robot modes are both really lame, so at least Soundwave has an awesome robot mode. (Cougharmadasideswipecough)

I wonder though, do kids today know about tape recorders? I think at nearly 19 years old I might be the transitional generation after reading these comments. I'm sure children come across tape recorders at some point. Personally I wish that they would find at least something that can fit into soundwave's marsupial pouch. Cybertron's barrel bombs were a nice concept so I think it sucks that they never added anything beyond the laserbeak mold. Grapple reminds me that I still don't have the botcon 2010 set >.<, but its nice to see hasbro finally beat Takara to it (after takara making dirge and thrust for slightly more mass retail, and them making red alert before hasbro, I think hasbro's starting to return fire >XD). But yeah I sorta want grapple (just because he looks nice)
