Back in Dec, 2007,  we got to be the fortunate recipient of an advance copy of Transformers Animated weeks before it's premiere.  This time, it's Seibertron.com's turn!   Check out their review, complete w/ screen captures and a (spoiler filled) synopsis of the plot... His first impression:

"Transformers Prime is the darker toned love child of Beast Wars and the live action Transformers films, without the cheesy humor."

Sounds good to me!  Can't wait!

I chose to not read it. But I am now all the more ECSTATIC about this show after reading thier one-sentence description. "The darker toned love child of Beast Wars and the live action Transformers films, without the cheesy humor." I can die happy knowing this (but I'll be happier actually seeing the show for myself Friday evening).

join the club but from reading it i can say we are in for a treet but there is one part that i dislike

SPOILERIFIC!!!

that is when cliffjumper is offlined because odviously he is revived later and i dread another cheesey allspark reserection such as optimus prime within the first animated episodes.

however it could be a ploy or his body is shielded. ither way i look forward to seeing the episode

To add to this discussion, if anyone here has not gone out and read the TF: Prime graphic novel (not to be confused with Exodus), go out and do so. It serves as a very good precursor to the cartoon and actually shows how some characters got to Earth from Cybertron. From what we can tell, it leads directly into Episode 1.

If the cartoon is going to be anything like the this comic was, then prepare yourselves for some good, violent action and fun.

I'm curious, what did people think would happen after Hasbro hired a high-profile famous actor to voice a character that hasn't been in the movies or had a large role in the recent huge multi-platform video game?

Dwayne Johnson isn't the only one. Ernie Hudson does the voice of (General?/Agent?) Fowler. That's two big-name actors in this series.

Seibertron.com has their episode 2 synopsis up now too. And again, I choose not to read it (but I did speed glimpse through their screen caps, so as to only get a few split-second looks instead of viewing them thoroughly).

I just finished reading part 2 myself. Can't wait!
This show sounds fantastic so far.
