Generations G2 Laser Prime Vid Review

Super-reviewer Peaugh has done it once more with his review and thoughts on the retro-tastic Generations "G2" Laser Optimus Prime figure.

Personally, I'm a little more sold now than I was before, but G2 was during that whole "too cool for toys" phase, for me at least...

Any G2 fanbois out there?

There already was a RID scourge repaint of Laser Prime. i saw it all the time at this family owned comic store when i was younger

Aside from RiD Scourge, it would be just awesome if they'd redeco this guy as the e-Hobby Laser Ultra Magnus figure, or even the never-released Toxitron! All of whom have been redecos of G2 Laser OP.

i never even thaut of toxitron that is likely mor than scourge and magnus seeing as they are bring mor obscure carictors in to the light thrue generations aka drift, mindset etc etc

Please Hasbro, give us a RID Scourge repaint of this figure!

Also, a Toxitron would be nice as well. Though, if that doesn't happen here, it's likely that we'll see him as an upcoming Botcon exclusive.

Ya'll know what would really tick off the RiD/Car Robots fanbase? If they did redeco this guy as Scourge/Black Convoy... but only as a convention exclusive. XD

I am a G2 fanboi - sadly I lost my original G2 Laser Optimus sword a long time ago. So will probably get this one if only for the sword!

Very nice mold. I hate the colors though. Time to break out the paints kids. We're gonna make a custom out of this.

I can only cross my little fingers and hope this mold skips over Scourge and ends up being a much more awesome character: Motormaster!

Yes, but a store exclusive is WAY more widely released than a convention exclusive. Not to mention that convention exclusives tend to be super high priced on the secondary market compared to store exclusives.

And, no. Motormaster deserves to be his own mold. Making him a redeco of Optimus Prime molds makes him stand out less and seem more like another Nemesis Prime (which has become something of a cliche occurrence).
