Another new toy out in the USA! TFans member First-Aid reported here having found Alternators Autobot Camshaft (repaint of Prowl) at a Wal*Mart store in Rockford, Illinois. As always, remember to report your own sightings of Autobot Camshaft here!
In order to accomodate the upcoming 20th Anniversary re-release DVD of Transformers: The Movie by Sony BMG, Hasbro will re-release the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime toy. The new version, which will feature silver paint instead of chrome, no battle damage and - believe it or not - a blue gun, in addition to a battery-powered base with dialogue (not voiced by Peter Cullen, sadly), was displayed in packaging at a recent toy expo in Hong Kong. Pictures can be seen here. Of course, TakaraTomy are also planning to re-release their Masterpiece Convoy toy, but their version is going to include a transforming trailer this time around - although the accomodating Roller vehicle will be exclusively available to members of a new "STARS" club...
Meanwhile, Entertainment Earth and Amazon.com have put up new preorder listings for Alternators, Titanium and - believe it or not - more Cybertron toys. Wave 9 of the Cybertron Deluxe Class toys is going to include Smokescreen (a repaint of Crosswise in a G1 Smokescreen deco), another Optimus Prime (or "Primal") and Megatron (the latter two are currently assumed to be repaints of the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary molds), there will be another Scout Class toy named "Hightail" (which has been previously found listed in Wal*Mart's computers), new Alternators are going to include Rumble as a Honda Civic Si (Wal*Mart already have an early stock photo on their website) and a Jaguar (named "Ravage", curiously enough), and new 6" Titanium figures will include Soundwave, Starscream and - believe it or not - The Fallen.
