Holy wow! More great news from Transformers The Movie! We just received the following news release:

"...Giant Freakin' Robots are coming. It's here. Finally -- the word we've been waiting for. The announcement of ALL the TRANSFORMERS appearing in the film. On Friday, 8/18, at 11am, the film's writers - Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman - will announce the charactor names via a live webchat on Yahoo.

For fans, this is our chance to interact with the writers, ask them questions via text and hear their answers live! A live chat. With the writers. Of TRANSFORMERS. 'Nuff said. On Friday morning, go to www.TransformersMovie.com for the link to Webcast! See you online, everyone. Roll out."

UPDATE: AND as if that is not enough, themovieblog.com has confirmed that the images of Optimus Prime, ARMS and HEAD are, in fact authentic. They also posted a full body character sketch which equally rocks my world! July 4 cannot come soon enough for me!

I just can't wait for Soundwave and his cassettes. I'm a huge Ravage fan, if no one could tell. Other than that, I'd really like to see Skywarp kick some Autobutt. And Grimlock!!! Me want Grimlock.

Wow, that might be the coolest prime ever if that is the real deal. However, the filmmakers need to have toy technology in mind, or Hasbro can't make toys of these. And if Hasbro cannot sell toys with this movie, then there will not be any sequels :( But anyway, ILM CGI is much better than SIFI channel CGI so yea this Prime wil look awesome. And if Optimus is that huge next to a human, then Soundwave better not be four feet tall. that may spoil his whole character.

While odd, I'd really like to see Kup battling along side Prime. And,there had better be toys. Otherwise I and many other TF fans are going to be super ticked.

Um, yeah. I had to go some of our very high level contacts within Hasbro but this is confirmed. Yes, there will be toys of the TF movie characters. ;)

I can't wait for the bernie mac used car dealer action figure or the battle damaged spike...seriously, just pray that they are not the normal movie related toys. (think Batman Begins or Superman Returns..worse yet, Pirate of the Carribean 2 brrrr.)
