Don't get your hopes up too high just yet, but it seems Alternators aren't quite dead yet, despite the current hiatus.

Hasbro have updated their website with a product preview for Alternators Rumble, a Honda Civic Si. This is the first time we see the toy in vehicle mode, although the photo of the robot mode has been depicted at Wal*Mart's website for over five months by now. The toy had first been confirmed by Hasbro UK at the UK Toy Fair back in January, at that time still with a drastically different looking concept design.

With test shots of Ravage (this time with a feline robot mode) as a Jaguar XK having leaked through the usual Chinese grey channels a few weeks ago, it seems like there are at least two new Alternators based on G1 Cassette Decepticons on their way... although chances are Rumble and Ravage might not come out until the next year.
