Pics from PumaKing reveal the first look at the movie "preview" toys mentioned by Hasbro reps at BotCon. So far pics reveal Optimus Prime and Starscream in "protoform" (as stated on the in-box pics) pre-earth forms most likely never to be seen in the movie. However IDW did mention a premovie story to be released in comic form along with David Cian's prequel novel to be written. Presumably these forms will be spotlighted in these publications. The pics can been seen here ***warning potential spoilers*** Make sure you scroll down to see all of the pics. It's not terribly interesting, but if you're interested in Google's automated Chinese (simple) to English beta translation of this page click here.

I I like it. In all the various versions of transformers I don't think we have ever had a protoform toy. Unless you want to count transmutate from the BW 10th line. But either way these are cool. And there is a reasonable chance we will see them very briefly in the movie.

I think something's wrong with the formating of that link.

Sorry folks, that the link is now working again. I'm not exactly sure what happened. Also, I've added a link to the thread run through Google's automated Translator. There's nothing terribly interesting in there, but it's fun to read computer translated text anyway.

as long as they completely change megatron from the design posted on tformers.com, were fine. The one thing G1 really lacked was protoforms though, so this will still work from what they showed of prime and all.

Animals protoforms! Where did they get that idea? It has been years that Transformers are known to be basically vehicle based. At least, their design is interesting.
