After 10 years of playing the voice of Megatron, David Kay was just casted to voice none other than the heroic Optimus Prime in the next Transformers Animated Series produced by Cartoon Network. I think that David Kay should stick to playing Megatron than play Optimus Prime.

Holy Sock! That's cool! Especially considering that originally he originally thought he was gonna get Optimus Primal and all. I wonder if Gary Chalk decided to step down from the series or if he just didn't get cast. Remember the Megatron had a different voice in Cybertron's first episode? I wonder if that guy'll play Megs now.

That is AWESOME! I love Kay as a voice actor. I'm sure he'll do an amazing job. I bet it'll be unrecognizable//have no similiarity to BW/BMach/Armada/En/Cyb Megatron.

Being a G1 fan, I am partial to Peter Cullin... but if that fails, I've got no complaints against Mr. Kay. Most of his work I know from the beloved Beast Wars... in which I think he did an exellent job at voicing Megatron. But the Megatron character was all around good... good personality, sinister and diabolical, yet he had charisma and personality too. Plus the voice...
I think David Key will do a fine job as the next Optimus.

I think that it will be very intresting to hear David Kay doing the voice of Optimus Prime. Also FYI for TriPresRavage Megatron was voiced by Richard Newman(Vector Prime) in the first episode of cybertron.

i really think having David Kay play as Optimus Prime would be kool and all but the whole "Yeeeeessssssss" thing that he does would have to go ..... cuz i really dont think it would sound right

That's awsome. From what i've seen of beast wars Kay Made the image of the "wis tyrant", and armada, he changed his voice to make it different from bw megs and did a small bit of honor to the decepticon commander, and all this along with reworking the voice almost completely. As prime, can't wait to see what he does. All i can say is, "yessss".

No, no, he's not the voice of Prime in Cybertron, he's the voice of Prime in the up-and-coming Heroes.
