Lots of news today!
Let's start with the toys that have been released at US retail. TFW2005 member alphie provided the receipt photo for the long-awaited new 3" Titanium figures (also known as "Robot Masters"), found at a Wal*Mart store. Thundercracker (a repaint of Starscream) and Rodimus (supposed to represent Hot Rod, but named "Rodimus" for trademark reasons, like the Classics Deluxe toy) are supposed to be part of wave 6 of the three-inchers, but possibly for similar reasons that led to the weird hubbub with the first three waves all popping up at retail at the same time, they seem to ship as part of what was supposed to be wave 7, which also features Galvatron (not a repaint of an existing Megatron toy for a change, but actually based on G1 Galvatron) and a "battle damaged" version of the G1 Optimus Prime figure from a few waves ago. Remember to report your own sightings of 3" Titanium Rodimus here, sightings of Thundercracker here, sightings of Galvatron here, and sightings of the battle damaged G1 Optimus Prime here!
Additionally to that, TFW2005 member rattrap007 provided the receipt for the first wave of the "Classics" Mini-Cons (not actually called "Classic" anywhere on the packaging). These three packs of all-new Mini-Con molds consist of the "Dinobots" (Terrorsaur, Knockdown and Swoop), the Night Rescue Team (Strongarm, Divebomb and Firebot) and the Demolition Team (Wideload, Sledge and Broadside). Remember to report your own sightings of the Dinobots here, sightings of the Night Rescue Team here, and sightings of the Demolition Team here!
A few days ago, the first official photos of the upcoming Collectors' Club exclusive toys were posted on the Club's website, but apparently, the page depicting them was not meant for the public and thus access was restricted to members only after 16 hours. Well, now they updated their site with new photos that are intended for the public! Check them out here. Once again, Astrotrain is a remold of the Armada Jetfire toy, based on an unreleased Universe toy named "Spacewarp", but now sporting a new head sculpt designed by Dan Khanna, and comes with the Mini-Cons "Star Catcher" (a repaint of Armada Jetfire's Mini-Con Partner Comettor), "Astro-Hook", "Astro-Line" and "Astro-Sinker" (the latter three being repaints of the Cybertron Giant Planet Mini-Con Team). "Chromia 10 Pilot" aka Airazor, meanwhile, is a remold of the Energon Slugsliner toy, also sporting a new head sculpt. For those planning on buying these exclusives, Astrotrain is being offered for $87, and Airazor for $42, supposedly to ship early next year.
Lastly, TFW2005 offer official Hasbro stock photos of the new toys from the upcoming fifth wave (following Soundwave and Rodimus Prime) of the 6" Titanium figures (also known as "Cybertron Heroes"). Starscream is a repaint of Thundercracker, both roughly based on Don Figueroa's "War Within" design, whereas Optimus Prime is an all-new mold based on the old Robots in Disguise toy. Both figures had been displayed by Hasbro at San Diego Comic-Con back in July, but were suspiciously absent from the display at BotCon, which led fans to the assumption that they might have been cancelled. Well, looks like they're still on track after all!
