I think Tom Hanks might be a good choice for Ratchet, Owen Wilson and Wallace Shawn aren't what I had in mind. Starscream should have someone who can fit the character's profile.

I wonder when we're going to hear about Micheal Clark Duncan; he seems to be in all of Bay's movies. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him sign on.

Why not try Jeremy Irons for the voice of Starscream? I think that wouldn't be a waste of time or effort. (He did the voice of Scar in the Lion King)

This has April Fool's written all over this. I doubt they would make an annoucement on a Sunday...Tom Hanks is huge star if not bigger than Hugo Weaving. Clearly an April Fool's prank. I like Owen Wilson, but he is no where close to 'Scatman' Crothers for the voice of Jazz.

This would be cool to have Tom Hanks as the voice for Ratchet. I think 2 People who would fit the roles of Jazz and Starscream better than the 2 men metioned above are as follows. For Jazz, I can see Will Smith "Mr. 4th of July Blockbuster" himself because of his hip-hop background. Alan Rickman as Starscream, because of the attitude in his voice is just like the Starscream of old.

No Matter Who does the voices, This movie is gonna kick A$$.

I totally agree about Will Smith being "Jazz". That would be awesome (maybe even hit the nail on the head). Will Smith or Chris Rock could do Jazz. For Starscream, Alan Rickman or an actor with a resume for being an awesome badass bad guy can pull off being sly like Starscream is definitely the right train of thought...maybe even Frank Welker or David Kaye. They should not totally over look older transformer voice acting. They've help instill our mythos with bad guys we love to hate and we lovem' for it.

Now for some REAL GOOD news.

I wish that Chris wouldn't have died, though he did sound a bit like a whiney girl he would have been awesome for this part. I also think that for starscream they should choose Micheal Dobson,(I believe that thats his name), for him in the movie if possible because he would probably do a good job at his persona.

I believe the guy who did Starscream in the BW ep Possession shoulda done Starscream for the movie but oh well.

Okay, it's April 2nd now. Time to fess up. YES, the above is a 100% April Fool's day fabrication. I wanted to start w/ something semi-believable (Hanks as Ratchet, tho I don't really think he'd be right for the part) then cut to 2 of the worst possible castings I could come up with. Can you imagine Owen Wilson's whiny, nerd voice as Jazz???? YUCK!!!
Even worse the screachy, but weak/whiny Wallace Shawn as Starscream? Remember the scene in Toy story where Rex jumps out and says "Roar! Were ya scared??? I"m trying to be fearsome here, but I'm afraid I'm just coming across as annoying!" That'd turn TF movie in to campy original-batman-tv-series-esque type comedy, 100% opposite of what I'm expecting...

I think it's funny. Having the guy who played rex on Toy Story play Starscream. That wouldn't happen in a million micro seconds! Tom Hanks would be a good Ratchet, but I expected the guy who played Red Alert in Transformers Armada and Cybertron(even though he has a British accent) to voice him. I also expect Andre "3000" Benjamin (from Class of 3000, a TV show on Cartoon Network) to play Jazz or maybe Cheech Marin (he played Ramone in Cars). They have the perfect voices for him. Another thing should be is have the guy who plays Starscream in the Unicron Trilogy(Armada, Energon, and Cybertron) to play him because Chris Latta as we all know is taking a dirt nap right now. (Note: taking a dirt nap means you're dead.)
